Hahnemühle Matte Fine Art Surface

The ArtDarts Fine Art Collection is a series in which particular attention is given not only to the image itself, but also to the way it interacts with light, space and material.

A Hahnemühle Fine Art Surface made from 100% cotton is applied to the rigid Alu-Dibond base, combining the stability of the aluminium panel with the natural, expressive texture of a Fine Art material.

The surface is deeply matte and creates a soft, diffuse reflection of light. This prevents harsh reflections, while blacks, fine details and tonal transitions appear deeper and richer.

The texture gives each work a tangible material quality and tactile character. Combined with the diffuse reflection of light, it creates a stronger sense of volume and spatial depth, as if individual elements of the image visually extend beyond the flat surface.

It is this material quality, texture and distinctive interaction with light that makes the Fine Art Collection particularly expressive in an interior.
